About San Fernando-Bahía Sur train station

San Fernando-Bahía Sur station transfers are the shortest way from the train to the resort coast. A private transfer from San Fernando station reaches La Barrosa and Novo Sancti Petri, and it also covers the Atlantic villages further south.

San Fernando is the town between Cadiz and Chiclana, once an island in the bay called the Isla de León. Trains from Seville, Jerez and Cadiz call at Bahía Sur, so you can get off here instead of riding on to the end of the line.

For Novo Sancti Petri and La Barrosa, both in Chiclana de la Frontera, this is the nearest of our stations. The table also lists the Atlantic towns further south, namely Conil, Vejer, El Palmar, Caños de Meca, Barbate and Zahara de los Atunes, and then Tarifa.

Travellers coming from Seville have a choice. If the hotel is in the old town of Cadiz, stay on the train to the last stop. For Chiclana or Novo Sancti Petri, get off at Bahía Sur and save the backtrack. The TramBahía tram-train links San Fernando with the town of Chiclana, but it does not reach La Barrosa or Novo Sancti Petri. With suitcases, the last stretch to a resort hotel is still on your own.
